Perspective

This guy seems so big... when taking a close shot... but back away a little, and his stature comes into perspective.... the horsefly, on the other hand, is just waiting for me to get too close!

Soon It Will Be Autumn

Every now and then I get an opportunity to see just how utterly ridiculous I look, as I “do my thing,” here on the farmette. I had to laugh this evening when Joe sent me a few samples of “Judy in her element.”

In other news, the weather has turned much cooler, and the days are getting way too short already. Fall, it would appear, is knocking at our door. Time to give up the shorts and T’s and don the warmer cool weather garb... ACK.

Still, I am having fun snapping pictures of the insects and frogs, and whatever other interesting things strike my fancy.

Weirdness never ceases to amaze me, here on the farm. Joe and I were checking out the ducks in the duck yard and heard a racket over by the pond. Following the noise, we came upon this wasp killing a cicada. Absolutely crazy. There was no saving the cicada, but wow!
